我在莊啟程的日子

Po Leung Kuk Chong Kee Ting Primary School is a big family. I have been here for five years already! CKT has given me a lot of
good memories. My memories are all about special events at school like Catwalk Show, Sports Day and Campus TV.
There are some memories that stand out the most. The first memory is from the Catwalk Show when I was in P2. It was my first
time to walk on the stage in a dress my mum made for me. The dress was very beautiful.
The second one is from Sports Day. When I was in P1, I could not race so I only played games. Then, in P2, I got to race. I was
so glad that my teacher asked me to run because running is my favourite sport. When I was in P3, I became a member of the relay
team and we had a lot of training. With all the training, I ran faster and faster. I believe that my
running skills improved a lot.
The third one I have is from P4. I was appointed as our school weather reporter and school
news reporter. Every Wednesday and Thursday morning, I had to report the weather and school
news to all of the students and teachers. At first, I was very scared and worried about making
mistakes because all of them would see me on air and there is no chance to start again. Therefore,
I must read the notes very carefully each time. Sometimes, the teacher gives me advice and helps
me so I can do better and I am now very confident in doing it on my own.
I have many good memories from my primary school. I am sure every student has their own
precious memories that fill their lives. Thank you, Chong Kee Ting Primary School.

How time flies! I have studied at CKT for five years already. I still remember being a young child in lower primary, I was very shy. I
didn’t even take the initiative to answer any questions during the lessons. I was surprised when I was given the opportunity to speak in
front of the whole school last year.
The special moment came and I couldn’t believe that I would be the Master of Ceremonies. At first, I wanted to decline the job
because I thought I wouldn’t work well under pressure. I felt tense when I thought about performing in front of a big audience. However,
Mr. Au Yeung encouraged me to do my best and reassured me that it was a good opportunity for me to become more mature. Then
I took a deep breath to calm myself down and thought to myself ‘I can do this’. Although I had been practising diligently for a week, I
was a bundle of nerves. I was excited and relieved when the audience gave me a great
applause. I was delighted as it was first time performing on the stage.
Mr. Au Yeung congratulated me and gave me some advice. He said ‘Well done!’.
However, you should speak more loudly and slowly next time’. From then on, I became
the Master of Ceremonies for our school and learned to love performing on the stage
alone. I have learnt that hard work pays off. The more you work, the closer to the
success with your job.
Becoming Master of Ceremonies during my studies at CKT was a great experience
and I am glad that I tried something new. I learnt not to give up at the beginning when
a task may seem too difficult for me. This role has helped me to become a more
responsible person. All thanks to my dearest teacher, Mr. Au Yeung.
