An unforgettable picnic

4A Wu Chung Hon

Last weekend, Tom and Peter went to a country park to have a picnic. They went there by bus. When they got
there, they flew kites and ran around there. They felt very excited because they could play together. Peter asked, ‘I’m
so hungry. Can we have our lunch now?’ Tom answered, ‘Of course. I feel hungry too.’
In the afternoon, they had lunch together, but Tom forgot to bring any food to eat. Therefore, Peter gave him some
food. Tom said, ‘Thank you.’ After their lunch, they felt so full because they ate a
lot. Then they wanted to go home.
After a while, Peter and Tom found that they got lost. They were very scared.
Peter asked, ‘What should we do now?’ Tom answered, ‘We can find someone to
help us.’ Then he yelled, ‘Is there anyone here? We get lost!’
In the evening, they kept walking in the country park. They went into a forest.
Suddenly, a big bird saw them and it stood in front of them. Tom said, ‘We can
ride on the big bird.’ Peter yelled, ‘Will it eat me?’ Tom said, ‘I think it won’t eat
us.’ At last, they rode on the big bird and flew back home. They felt very excited
because they could fly in the sky.

Today I went to the supermarket to buy some food for dinner. I saw an old lady when I walked into a street where it
was near the supermarket. The old lady was holding many things, such as some fruit and vegetables. She looked
tired because she had some sweat on her face.
I came to the old lady and helped her to take a bag of oranges. She said, ’Thank you, little child! Can you take them
to my home, please?’ I replied immediately, ’Sure! Where is your home?’ The old lady answered. ’My home is near
the slope.’ Then, we walked up the slope. Suddenly, I fell down and the oranges rolled down on the ground quickly.
I was scared and my heart was in my mouth. I ran quickly and picked up the oranges. Unluckily, all of the oranges
were torn and broken. ‘Oh my god! All of the oranges were broken!’ I shouted because I felt blue.
At this moment, the old lady came to me. She said, Don’t worry, let me buy some new oranges. After that,
we went to the supermarket and I bought a new basket of oranges for her. She was over the moon to see
the oranges.
At the end, the old lady gave an orange to me. We were glad. What an unforgettable and meaningful day!

My best friends

Today was my best friend Cindy’s birthday, so her mum held a birthday party for her. Cindy invited all her friends to
join her party.
At about half past six, we arrived her home. Wow! There were a lot of decorations. After Cindy and her mum
decorated the home, it became so beautiful. Cindy wore a princess dress. She was eye-catching and pretty, just
like a princess lived in a big castle.
I bought the present that was a gift for her carefully. I said, ‘This present is for you, I hope you like it!’ Cindy was so
surprised and said politely, ‘Oh! Thank you! I am over the moon!’ She smiled a lot. And I felt glad, too.
At the party, there was a lot of tasty food such as a yummy birthday cake, a few chicken wings and salad. We were
so excited that we could eat salad. All of us thought salad was healthy.
When Cindy blew the candles, I pulled the plastic bottle and all of the juice spilt out carelessly, but Cindy didn’t
know. I was shocked.
Cindy’s mum took some juice for us, but the floor was wet, so her mum dropped all the juice. Luckily, her mum
didn’t get hurt. At that moment, our heart was in my mouth. I said sorry to Cindy’s mum. She told me not to be
worry.
At the end, her mum cleaned the floor at once. We had a great time there again. We left the
party happily. All of us felt enjoyable.
