           Financial Studies

           Panel Head: Leung Ka Wai

           Aims of the Curriculum:
           1. to provide students at senior secondary level with fundamental business knowledge and skills, developing
              their positive values and attitudes, so as to fulfil their roles competently and confidently as consumers,
              investors, employees and/or entrepreneurs;
           2. to develop students’ generic skills in researching, analyzing, leadership, team-building, communication,
              critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving; and
           3. to explore different aspects of business to prepare students for life, for learning and for employment.

           The NSS Business, Accounting and Financial Studies curriculum covered the knowledge of management,
      Learning and Teaching
           accounting, finance, and investment. All of the above are parts of Hong Kong commerce, learning BAFS giving
           students a first-hand understanding of commerce. Other than the knowledge, students can also learn practical
           skills in this subject, such as preparing a full set of financial statement, personal financial planning, management
           skills, etc.

           Nowadays, Hong Kong's business education should no longer focus on the study of knowledge. It is even
           more important for students to understand how to use the knowledge they have learned to meet the needs of
           individuals and even the society, that is, to cultivate students entrepreneurship. Therefore, in addition to the
           learning in the classroom, it is necessary to provide more opportunities for students to join different activities, let
           them experience more and broaden their horizons.
