House of Rainbow Bridge
On 17 April 2019, we flew to Pheom Penh,
Cambodia, to serve the children living with
Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS).
We visited the House of Rainbow Bridge, an
orphanage with children suffering from AIDS.

lives. I will try to take better care of the beloved
ones around me. In the orphanage, the children’s age differences was
dispersed so we didn’t play the big group games as we
had planned to, instead, we played in small groups with
kids that matched our ages. Some of us played football
and other played the piano….surprisingly, I made quite
a few friends! Even now, I’m still in contact with them
through social media, Facebook.
As I’m rather introverted, I never thought I would gain
friendships with people with a different language and
culture.
We played exciting games with the orphans
in the House of Rainbow Bridge. Most importantly, I have learnt to be more positive and
to look at things from a good point of view, especially
when we face difficulties in life.
I really enjoyed the time in Cambodia. In the future I
hope to visit the orphanage and serve the people in need
again.
We packed some daily necessities for
the residents of the slums.
