Grasshoppers

The Grasshoppers in WFJLPS aims to provide activities
suitable for the physical and mental development of the Scouts
in Primary One and Two, so that they can grow up happily and
healthily through the learning experiences.

Under the guidance of adults, the Scouts participate in fun
and inspiring activities, such as games, singing and storytelling.
There is no test system for the Grasshoppers, but there
are four progressive badges for different stages. The footprint
badges are in red, brown, blue and green colours. When
members actively participate in the gatherings and activities, they
will accumulate participation time and get the relevant badges.
This also encourages them to continue to actively participate in
the activities and to work towards becoming a Cub Scouts.

1A Lee Cheuk Yan I have been a grasshopper for one year. We have
1A Ng Yin Tung Daphne an assembly once a week. I learnt to cooperate with my

1B Chan Hoi Yan teammates and be responsible through playing group games
1B Lam Tsz Chun during the assembly. I also learnt to be independent that I
1B Ng Shing Yui could take care of myself and others. I enjoyed making art
1B Wong Ka Yau
1C Chau Yat crafts, sharing with others, marching with the whole team and
1C Law Yan Kiu singing songs while playing with the para-balloon.

1D Lam Ching Yin The most memorial moment this year for me was the

1D Yau Fong Ki Grasshopper Ceremony, in which we officially became a
1E Chau Jasmine grasshopper by declaring the “Scout Promise”. I promised

1E Lo Lok that I will love God, love people and love my country. What a
1E Tam Ho Lam wonderful experience!

2B Lai Yan Tung Kassidy I am honoured to be the vice leader of the grasshopper

2C Lee Tsz Pui this year, and my leadership skills have been improved. I will
