This booklet aims to exhibit good works of students. It is a place to learn, appreciate and
inspire each other.
“The value of art is that it is something that brings people together and gives people a
voice,” says Jimmy Castillo, Director of Civic Art and Design at Houston Arts Alliance.
Art comes in many forms - paintings, films, photography, music, dramas, etc. But most
importantly, art connects us all. When creating art, consciously or not, artists attempt to
communicate. Art is an international language that we are all born with. Everyone can make
art and understand art without translation, no matter how old you are, where you are from.
So don’t be shy, express yourself with art, reach out and connect with others.
