‘English debate? You’re kidding! I can never do
it.’ It is a common thought of many students.
Ten P.5 students, however, were brave enough
to take on the challenge! They participated in
English Debate Explorer held in Kowloon True
Light School on 13 October. They learnt how to
th
analyze a motion, write arguments and present
their ideas confidently. It was a tiring but fruitful
Saturday morning as they could practise their
language skills and critical thinking skills at the
same time.

English debate? No kidding! You can certainly
do it as long as you give it a try!
Writing arguments is not an easy task!

中文戲劇：《歌唱比賽》

陳惠綿老師 何美婷老師

中文戲劇組在本年度參與了香港學校戲劇節，參賽劇目為
《歌唱比賽》，內容講述一位小女孩和一位小男孩都熱愛唱歌，
想成為一位歌手。但小女孩卻怕別人嘲笑，不敢追夢，拒絕代表
學校參加歌唱比賽。相反，小男孩不怕在同學面前表演，代表學
校參加歌唱比賽。後來，經過老師的勸勉與鼓勵，小女孩終能自
信地站在舞台上把自己最好的一面展現給觀眾。此劇目乃戲劇組
整體成員與導師合力編寫出來的，故各成員都能掌握角色，投入
演出，並於香港學校戲劇節榮獲「傑出合作獎」，亦有四位同學
獲得「傑出演員獎」。
