English Fun Day
This year we saw the return of the English Fun
Day with the theme ‘All about Cultures’, celebrating the different lifestyles
and cultures of our fellow Asians. The three Asian countries chosen for this year were
Mongolia, Korea and Thailand.
The ever popular ‘Kahoot’ game made a welcome return, giving students the opportunity to
practise their IT skills. Nimble fingers were needed to beat the clock and claim first place. The
mix and match game gave students the chance to learn more about other Asian cultures, whilst
expanding their vocabulary. Topics included language, food, national dress and monuments.
A new introduction this year was the miming game; students were given the opportunity to
demonstrate their drama skills through acting out the activities and pastimes of the three
Asian countries. All in all, students enjoyed the opportunity to learn more about the
cultures of Asian countries around them, whilst practising their English language
skills.
