As our school always enhances English learning in a more interesting and authentic way, we have
di erent activities throughout the year.
Halloween

Our Halloween activity started with a competition run by Miss Jones. Each level had a different
worksheet to complete. Not only were they fun, but they also enhanced vocabulary and comprehension
skills. The winning pieces were displayed on a Halloween themed noticeboard downstairs, for the
st
enjoyment of all. On 31 October P1 – P4 students were able to “trick or treat” in the playground, with
our English Ambassadors dressed up. P5 and P6 students enjoyed special Halloween tongue twisters
and “trick or treating” in their English classes. Everyone agreed it was extremely enjoyable and very
entertaining!

Trick or treat! A fun day!

Lots of schoolmates participated in this activity. Congratulations to the winners!

English teachers and English Ambassadors were giving treats. Yeah!

I think this Halloween activity was an unforgettable experience for me. I could not only bring the
joy to schoolmates, but also I could strengthen my confi dence because I had to speak in English
during the activity. I hope I can participate in this activity next year.

I have learnt what people do at Halloween during this activity. I think to ‘trick or treat’ is fun.
Although I didn’t get any sweets, I felt glad because I made the schoolmates happy. Lots of
schoolmates got sweets from me. O ering is better than receiving. I hope I can join the Halloween
activity next year.
