Drama

Year 7

In Year 7 Drama, students have done various
activities to build confidence, learn teamwork
and explore the importance of using facial
expressions and gestures when acting. One
of the activities that they have focused on is
‘Freeze Frame’. Students have come up with
a lot of interesting ideas to present different
scenes from their daily lives. They have also
studied movies and musicals. They have
tried to perform parts of the musical – Oliver
Twist. They had a lot of fun singing, dancing
and acting together.

Year 8

In Year 8 Drama, students have done
various activities to build confidence,
learn teamwork and explore the
importance of using sound and voice
when performing. They have tried to
make their own puppets and use them
to perform. They have also tried to do
some short plays. Towards the end of
the year, they have come up with their
own plot to write a storyboard and film
their own trailer for their stories. It is
exciting to explore the use of sound
effects and other visual effects in media.
