In addition to the subject knowledge, we also focus on marks for their house in every competition!
developing children’s self-confidence, social enthusiasm, sense of
responsibility, personal growth, creative thinking and independent
thinking skills, so that they can take proper action to deal with the
challenges in their future life. We promote Moral Education with a
whole-school approach to nurture students’ values and attitudes,
focusing on “Responsibility, Integrity, Care, Respect, Perseverance
and Commitment”.
There are different programmes in the Firefly Scheme, such
as moral assemblies, talks, house gathering, Sports Day house
cheering, inter-house competitions, etc. Students’ good behaviour is
recorded in the Firefly Booklet through getting stamps or signatures
from teachers, office staff, family and friends. They can redeem Teachers in different houses
non-materialistic rewards, such as having lunch with the Principal,
wearing casual wear on school days, etc.
One of the highlights must be our Buddy Scheme in which
senior and junior form buddies are intentionally paired up for 3
years. They enjoy participating together in house games, buddy
reading, buddy fun day, etc. The buddies make friends, learn from
each other and face difficulties together.
