Winnie and an old lady

6A Ma Ngai Man, Lisa

Today was my friend Winnie’s birthday. Her mother and father gave her five hundred dollars and asked
her to buy herself a present.
Winnie was over the moon because she wanted to buy a dress for a long time. The dress cost exactly
five hundred dollars. When she almost walked into the boutiques, she spotted an old lady.
At first, she only saw a hazy shadow. Later when she looked closer, she saw the old lady
shaking vigorously. Winnie felt guilty. She thought when so many people in the world who were
suffering from starvation, it was almost the worst idea that she wanted to buy a new dress.
Eventually, Winnie decided to give the old lady her five hundred dollars.
The old lady got up and thanked Winnie. Suddenly, there were a bunch of people coming
out from nowhere. At that time, Winnie realized that it was a TV show. They told her that
because she helped someone, they wanted to give her a big gift. The gift turned out to be the
dress that she wanted to buy! They also returned her the five hundred dollars. She was on the
cloud nine!

My unforgettable holiday

6B Shum Wing Hei

My last summer holiday was different from my usual ones. My parents took my sister Winnie and me to Japan. It was my
first time to go there! I think it was a wonderful trip.
We arrived at Osaka in the afternoon and went directly to Universal Studio. There were a lot of people lining up to enter the
Universal Studio. We played a lot of games, took photos with the cartoon characters. We left Universal Studio in the evening but
to be honest, I didn’t want to leave at all.

On the next day, we went to a temple. It was very
beautiful. We took a lot of photos there. After that, we
went to 100 yen shop for shopping. The items there were
very cheap, so we bought a lot! At last, we took a taxi
to Mount Fuji. We had a hot spring there. It was beyond
amazing because I was able to have a hot spring while
enjoying a good view of the mountain at the same time.
At the end of the trip, Winnie and I were reluctant to
leave. It was truly an enjoyable trip. I hope I will go there
again next summer!
