Good Behaviours in Public Places
Good Beha
s in Public Places
viour
We should behave well when we visit different public places such as a restaurant, a cinema and a
library.
We should behave well when we are in a restaurant. We should put on our napkin on our lap so that our clothes don’t
get dirty. When people gobble their food, it may seem rude.
When we go to a cinema, we should be polite and respect the rules. We should arrive early so that we can enjoy the
movie. When people talk loudly, it disturbs others. They may not be able to hear clearly.
When we go to a library, we should be considerate. We should speak politely to the librarian so that we don’t seem rude.
We should keep quiet when the others are reading.
We should be considerate and use public places properly so that everyone can enjoy them.

My name is Meenakshi. I study at POCA Wan Ho Kan Primary School. My hobbies are playing
basketball, the violin, doing handicrafts and painting.
My favourite subject is Maths because it’s very challenging and exciting. I always get a good score in Maths. English and
G.S. are also my favourite subjects.
I have got credit in ICAS and won the class Logo competition. I am a prefect in my school. When my schoolmates need
help, I listen to their problems patiently and attend to their needs.
I have joined the solo verse speaking competition in my school. I also participate in STEAM activities, and I am a Talent
Club member in my school, specially designed to show our talents.
I am a very hard-working and creative student. I am a Maths subject leader in my class. I am a caring person, too. I hope
I can be a vet one day so that I can treat animals with love and care.
If I can join my dream school, I will respect my teachers and classmates and be hard-working.

Tom’s Football Journey
T om’ s F oo tball Jour ne y
Two weeks ago was Tom’s birthday and because of that, his dad decided to take him to a football game.
They went to a football court and watched a game. Tom was excited to see his favourite team winning.
“Goal!” shouted the commentator. Tom was amazed to see that his favourite team won 3-2. “Yeah! Look! Dad we won!”
said Tom excitedly. “Dad, I want to be a football player, too,” said Tom. “That’s good! Maybe you can join a football team,”
said his dad.
Last Sunday, his dad brought him to his first football practice. “Welcome to your first football practice. Here we will be
practising basic skills such as ball handling and dribbling,” said the coach. “Can each one of you step up and introduce
yourselves?” After a while, it was Tom’s turn. “Hello! Can you please introduce yourself?” said the coach. Tom said, “Hello
everyone. I-I’m-I’m-Tom. I like p-playing footb-ball and I also like w-watching matches.” “Don’t worry Tom, It’s fine. You
will get to know us better,” said the coach. “Really?” said Tom. “Yes! Welcome!” replied the coach.
After practicing for a while, they decided to have a match. While playing, Tom tripped over the ball and twisted his ankle.
“Ow! That hurts!’ said Tom painfully. “Tom, are you okay?” asked the coach. “I-I think I twisted my ankle!” cried Tom. “Don’t
worry! I’m calling an ambulance,” said the coach. “Thanks!” replied Tom.
In the end, Tom got better and returned to practice. He never gave up. He hoped to become a professional football
player one day!
