Extra-curricular Activities
As she read it she sobbed quietly. Her husband’s best friend gave her a hug and said, “He was thinking about you on
his deathbed. We will be here to support you through it all. Do what you have always dreamt of, and don’t let this chance
go to waste.”
Three months go by and there’s a pile of letters in the widow’s bedroom. In every letter it was a thank you note and a 中國語文
love note from her husband. She had promised to never love again and she chased her dreams. She became a writer. A
writer who could inspire others going through tough times with her experience. She stated in an interview once, “Although
I do miss him a lot, more than I can express, I owe it to him to chase my dreams. I love him to the moon and back. Even
when the world was going dark for him, his body succumbing to the pain, writhing in agony, he put me before him. He
suffered in loneliness so that I could be spared from the pain. As I wasn’t there to witness his last stretch in life, all I can
remember of us were the good times, the way things were and should have been.” 菁英隊
“Even though the way you live your life is important,” she continued, “I learnt that it is the way we finish the story that
truly defines us.”
Yes, my dear Husband, perhaps you do love me more.
