Model United Nations is a vehicle for students to debate the same
pressing issues, and in the same style, as the real United Nations. It is
excellent in improving students’ critical thinking and debating skills, their
confidence, and their personal management. It is also great fun. This
year there have been several conferences - some local, such as those at
Victoria Shanghai Academy and Harrow School in Hong Kong - and some
international, like the trip to Concordia International School in Shanghai.

The KCIS students (see photograph) who took part in the Shanghai
conference were working with, and debating against, students from all
over the world. They were, and are, a credit to our school, and can be
proud of the way they conducted themselves.
