Battle of the Sciences

This is our 7 Year of the Battle of Sciences! Again, for a third
consecutive year, Blue House was awarded the shield. As
usual for each subject we had participant and audience
rounds involving KS3, IGCSE and IBDP students. Within
each year group we had different students participating for
the three sciences that maximised student involvement. For
the audience rounds students from respective levels raced to
the front with their answers to gain points for their teams.
To help increase students’ confidence in answering questions
without being in the spotlight, the students were not seated
on the stage. This also allowed them to view and hear the
questions being projected! Overall, it was an action-packed
two hours of educational, team-building fun!
