How To Donate 1 Million Dollars

(Junior Section) 1A Sonija Tang Wai Lam

          Dear Auntie Man,
I heard that Great Uncle Ford passed away and I was very shocked when I
got this news. I know that he left me $1,000,000, so I would like to tell you how I will
          spend this money.
I won’t spend this money on myself because there are a lot of homeless dogs.
You know, I am a dog-lover and I hate people who abandon dogs or other pets. If
they can’t take care of their pets, they shouldn’t buy them. They may think that pets
are toys, but in the pets’ eyes, their owner is their everything. Anyway, I want to use
Uncle Ford’s money to build a home for homeless dogs and other homeless pets.
I know you might think I am crazy, but Auntie Man, you need to know that
humans have broken those poor pets’ hearts and I think it is time for us to do
something for them. Also, I want to make a website for this animal shelter. This new
home for abandoned animals will be somewhat like a pets’ hotel. The design of it
and the facilities there will suit their needs. Besides, a full-time vet will be employed
to work in this home. If the animals are sick or get hurt, the vet can give them
suitable medical treatments. I am sure this home can help a lot of homeless pets.
What do you think about my idea? I hope you will support me. I think if Uncle
Ford was still here, he would have done the same thing, right? I would like to hear
what you think about this matter. Please write back soon. I look forward to your
          encouraging reply.

                                              Love,
                                              Sonija
