How To Donate 1 Million Dollars

(Junior Section) 1C Brian Chan Ka Hei

Dear Auntie,
If I have one million dollars, I will use part of the money to donate to some
schools for poor children, because education is the most important thing in a
society. The money can let them buy some new computers, books, desks, chairs,
and projectors. The students can study more conveniently and comfortably.
Then, I want to donate some money to some poor families. They don’t have
enough food and clothes but with the donation, they will live a better life. They can
also buy some tools to clean their home easily.
I think I also need to donate some money to protect the wildlife, such as
pandas, sharks and other endangered species. Some of them don’t have a suitable
place to live because of pollution.
Keeping our city clean is also important. So, I will use some money to help
make Hong Kong clean so that the visitors can have a good impression of our city.
How can I do all of the above?
I will use the money to buy a piece of land. I will make part of it a farm. I will
grow some vegetables and keep some animals like chickens, pigs and cows, so that
I can provide food for the poor people. I will also build some houses for rent, and the
money will go to the people in need. I know some teachers who are willing to give
free lessons to poor children and also hold talks for people about environmental
awareness on our city and the wild. After this farm becomes more successful, I can
start a fundraising campaign to raise funds for children studying in old schools and
also for other charity uses.
I think I need to use that one million dollars to help people, but it is important
that I don’t use all the money at once. I hope that I can help them and make them
happy in the long run.
