4 “We cannot all do
great things, but we can

do small things with great
love.”

I volunteered for the first time in my life in a
home for the elderly when I was in Primary 5. It
was not an easy task since I was never taught
how to play a part in such an event. However,
through serving I experienced what Mother Te-
resa preached, “We cannot all do great things,
but we can do small things with great love.” We
were always taught to be leaders who make
great changes with our knowledge. However,
I took a precious lesson about the importance
of small acts with good intention, and this has
laid the foundation for my medical career.

In WFJLPS, I witnessed how teachers made
wonders with love. They were not always
rewarded for their effort but that did not stop
them from giving us their best. As I look back, I
am grateful for all the small things they did with
great love. Thank you for carving the right path
for us and making us who we are today.
