Looking Closely
細心觀察
We tuned in to explore pollution and rubbish disposal systems by reading the
text ‘A Planet Full of Plastic’ by Neal Layton, and watching the documentary
'A Plastic Ocean'. We created system maps and used the thinking routine
‘Parts, Purposes and Complexities', encouraging us to look beyond the
obvious features of the system, and make careful, detailed observations.
我們通過閱讀 Neal Layton 的故事《充滿塑膠的星球》及觀看影片《塑膠海洋》，
探索垃圾處理的整個流程。利用「深入拆解」的思考模式，理解「垃圾往何處去 ?」，
仔細思考垃圾和生態系統之互動性，以及深入探究當中環環相扣的關係。
Exploring Complexity
深入探究
Through the trilingual animated story ‘The Lump!’, we participated
in the ‘Think, Feel, Care’ thinking routine with our parents, where we
pretended to be a sea creature affected by pollution. Through the story,
we became aware of the perspective of living things connected to our
daily habits. We realised that after consuming all of the plastic, the
ocean and all of its life would die, or perhaps even become ‘monsters’,
after being forced to live in such a polluted habitat.
老師編製了故事影片《神秘的生物》，我們和爸爸媽媽在「親子工作坊」中
運用了「換位思考」的思考模式，嘗試代入受污染的海洋動物，設身處地理
解牠們的想法和感受，學習多角度思考。我們幻想當魚吃了膠袋和垃圾後會變

aware of the way in which human behaviour plays a part in the degradation of our
oceans and waterways. Upon further reflection, we designed ways of protecting
the oceans and limiting further pollution. Our artwork represents the impending
‘Plastic Ocean’ the world faces if people do not change their habits and use recycled
plastic bags. In this world, the fish slowly evolve into monsters – the only survivors of
pollution.
透過仔細探究海洋系統，我們發現海洋生態環境被破壞，污染的來源大部分是來自塑膠
和油污，而人類的行為更是造成這些污染的重要因素。經過反思後，我們積極尋找能力
所及和可行的方法，以改善現時海洋污染的問題。我們利用膠袋創作了藝術作品「塑膠
海洋」，向大家表達世界正面臨嚴峻的污染問題，海洋的魚類也快變成嚇人的小魔怪，
人類需要改變廢物處理的行為習慣，才可認真改善和拯救被破壞的海洋生態環境。
