MR. CHUNG

Mr. Chung Chun Hung

Hi boys and girls. I’m Mr. Chung Chun Hung, the Music
and GS teacher. This is my first year in SFA. If you see me at
school or elsewhere on the weekends, don’t be shy and say
“Hello!” to me.

My first impression of students in SFA is that they are
caring, lovely and helpful. I like to talk to students at recess and
listen to their daily lives and experiences. Some of the students
told me they love music lessons and enjoy playing musical
instruments. In fact, I enjoy playing musical instruments too.
Do you know what kind of musical instruments I play? Give me
a wild guess!

I started to play the clarinet, the flute and the piano when
I was a student. One day, my music teacher recommended
me to join the concert band and I really enjoyed playing
in the band. I kept playing in the band until now because I
enjoy making music with my buddies. Moreover, I can learn
the importance of perseverance, time management and
teamwork through playing in the band. I think these qualities
are extremely important in our daily life. Have you ever heard
of the saying “practice makes perfect”? We have got a similar
quote in Chinese. I hope students can keep on their positive
learning attitude and enjoy the process of learning.
I am also keen on travelling to different places. My
favourite spots include Japan and Europe. Visiting historical
heritage, going on sightseeing for natural landscapes and
trying the local cuisines are the experiences that best excite

me. Can you guess where I am in the photo? It is Dinant, a city
in Belgium. Adolphe Sax, the inventor of the saxophone was
born there.

I hope we could fight against the pandemic in no time, so
that we will be able to travel again and make music together.
