Our school promotes ‘Glocal’ Education which is a hybrid of the
rationale of global and local education. On one hand, students can 全球本地化教育
take the advantages of the cultures from the east and the west, and
at the same time, they can have a more in-depth understanding of the
Chinese culture. On the other hand, they can foster international vision
to connect the world to become a global citizen. We are also committed 培育21世紀通才
to helping students become 21st century learners, specialists and
generalists to master the skills necessary for the 21st century.

          Refining Curriculum Framework 21st Century
Strengthening the Basic Knowledge and Skills
Our school is promoting STEM education enthusiastically to enable
students to integrate cross-curriculum knowledge, build analytical and
problem-solving skills, and inspire innovative ideas. However, instead of 劉國良校長
focusing merely on training a small group of elite students, our school Principal Gyver LAU Kwok-leung
puts more emphasis on the ‘popularity’ and ‘sustainability’ of STEM
education and the curriculum planning is the top job.
The junior form curriculum achieves a balance between Chinese
Language, English Language, Mathematics, Humanities and Science.
The school-based curriculum on junior forms Mathematics and Science
has especially tailored with optional enrichment components and all the
necessary elements in order to provide a comprehensive coverage on
the subjects with reference to the curriculum of IGCSE. A fine foundation
will prepare students to choose their favorite elective subjects in senior
forms for HKDSE. In addition, students are encouraged to attend the
IGCSE as a challenge to test their academic level in Mathematics and
Science, which could be beneficial to their overseas studies as well.

The school also arranges students to study STEM subjects in English.
Given the rapid changes in relevant subject knowledge, a strong
foundation in English is conducive to students' understanding of the
latest foreign materials. Learning STEM knowledge that is geared to
international standards can also make it easier for students to connect
          to higher-level study.

          Keeping Pace with Global Trends
Promoting STEM to Hong Kong Education Sector
Our school started to keep in pace with the British schools in 2016:
using Micro:bit, a tiny programmable computer, in the Computer
Literacy lessons across S.1 to S.3 classes; and using Arduino and SAM
Labs in S.2 and S.3 classes. This aims to enhance students’ learning
          motivation through ‘Learning by doing’.
