Staff Professional Development
First Staff Development Day
The First Staff Development Day was held on 30 September 2025.
In the morning session, Dr Jac LEUNG from the Division of Integrative
Systems and Design at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
and Ms Wendy FUNG from the Hong Kong Family
Welfare Society delivered insightful talks on
A talk on “AI Literacy: Frameworks AI literacy and counselling respectively. These

strategies for incorporating artificial intelligence
into teaching as well as practical counseling
skills.
In the afternoon, teachers engaged in various Bowling Activity
sports activities, including bowling, floor curling,

not only fostered bonding among teachers, but
also promoted their well-being by doing exercise
and reducing stress.
The day concluded on a positive note, leaving
everyone in high spirits and looking forward to

Second Staff Development Day (Teacher Symposium 2026)
The Second Staff Development Day was held on 5 January 2026.
In the morning, teachers from all government secondary schools
participated in the Teacher Symposium 2026 at the Queen
Elizabeth Stadium. The theme of the symposium this year was
“Seizing the Pulse of Education; Empowering Student Growth”.
A talk on the recently implemented Mandatory Reporting of Child
Abuse Ordinance was conducted by Mr Nathan WONG, a solicitor
advocate. After that, Mr Steven LEUNG and his team from Life A talk on drug abuse conducted by the Tung Wah
Master Consulting Limited led a series of experiential activities to Group of Hospitals Integrated Centre on Addiction
demonstrate how to foster students’ resilience through adventure- Prevention and Treatment
based learning.
After the Teacher Symposium in the morning, our teachers attended a talk on
drug abuse, which enriched our knowledge on the prevention of drug abuse,
and an expressive arts experiential workshop, which enabled us to unwind
and exercise creativity, both conducted by the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals
Integrated Centre on Addiction Prevention and Treatment. The session
deepened our understanding of the “Healthy School” initiative and the practical
Teachers participating in an applications of art therapy. Overall, it was a fruitful and insightful experience.
