Mr. Rafal Smoczynski (August 2016)
Researcher, Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of
Sciences, Poland
Rafal Smoczynski is a sociologist, researcher at Institute of Philosophy and
Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He enhanced his knowledge in the
field of social sciences during funded research projects and fellowships most
notably at London School of Economics, University of Manchester, Monash
University, University of Vienna, Seoul National University, Max Planck Institute
for Social Anthropology. His research interest focuses on sociology of religion,
classic and late modern social theory, sociology of markets. He published with
e.g., the Oxford University Press, de Gruyter, Czech Sociological Review,
Ashgate. He acted as a visiting lecturer at e.g., the Hungarian Academy of
Sciences, Czech Academy of Sciences, Romanian Academy, Northumbria
University, Seoul National University.
Prof. Nora Lan-hung Chiang (Novemeber 2016)
Professor Emerita in Geography, National Taiwan University, Taiwan
Prof. Chiang is Professor Emerita of Geography, and
formerly, Associate Dean in the College of Science at
National Taiwan University. Her recent research has been
published in many well-recognized international journals
on the subjects of transnational migration, feminist
geography, sustainable tourism, and urban and regional
development in China. She has published close to 140
papers and seven special issues and books: The
Challenges of Globalization: Cultures in Transition in the
Pacific-Asia Region (2006), a special issue for the Journal of Geographical
Science on Asian Women: Gender, Migration, and Work (2010), a special issue
for The China Review on Chinese Migrants and Circular Mobility (2011),
Immigrant Adaptation in Multi-Ethnic Societies: Canada, Taiwan, and the United
States (2013) with Eric Fong and Nancy Denton, a theme issue for the Journal of
Population Studies on Taiwanese Migrants (2013), Contemporary Issues in
