Subject: An email to my favourite teacher
Dear Miss Lee,
Hello Miss Lee! How are you? It’s been a while. The reason I sent you this email is
because I want to thank you.
I’d like you to know that you are a persevering and witty person. You always teach
us things in an interesting way. Also, you always teach us new words, for example,
humorous, kegler, generous, and so much more. Sometimes you even play games
with us. At the end of the class, you always give out candies to our class, even the
disobedient ones.
I feel really lucky to have you as my teacher. I learnt to be a caring student because
you are always sympathetic towards others.
To repay all of your kindness, I will remember what you have said and work hard.
Your student,
Harris

An Unforgettable Memory at NPGPS
1 P.5B Ng Daniel Ka Yau
Last year, I had an unforgettable experience at NPGPS. Now I will share it with
you.
It all started because Mr. C, an English teacher in our school invited me to
join a puppet competition, on the spur of the moment I decided to join it because
I wanted to try something new. So every recess, I went to the English World to
practise. The script was given by Mr. C to me. The show we’re going to perform was
called ‘The Goldilocks Movie’. My teammates were: Anson, Aston, Rex, Reych...
They were going to perform.
But after a few days, Mr. C told me that I couldn’t perform because I was not
suitable for any of the characters, so I could only be the background changer. I was
quite annoyed about it, just like anyone would be. Suddenly, Mr. C said, ‘I know
you are disappointed about it, but a puppet show cannot be finished without a
background changer.’ I just sniffed unhappily.
At last, the day of the competition came. We all felt very excited but I was
still a bit unhappy about it. During the competition, the background suddenly fell
down, luckily I was alert and quickly let it back up. My teammates all looked at me
thankfully. We won a merit. I was very thrilled!
After this experience, I have learned a lesson: never think some job is too
small. Nothing can work without small jobs.
