Dear Principal, teachers, parents and fellow schoolmates,
Six years ago, I left kindergarten and began studying at North Point
Government Primary School. At first, I felt melancnolic and nervous and so
did most of us as we were reluctant to part with our old friends and we had
to be accustomed to a whole new school life. But we then started making
many new friends and learning new things. There’re numerous people we
have to thank.
First, I want to thank my class teacher, as well as my English teacher,
Miss Ho. You always acquaint us with something we don’t understand
patiently and support me when I face failures by telling me failure breeds
success. My English has improved a lot.
Second, I’d like to thank my Chinese teacher, Mr Wong. You’re
always humorous and your lessons are interesting. Consequently, we’re
enthusiastic in Chinese and so our Chinese has been improving. You’ve
taught us to be assiduous and respect others.
Thank you, dear classmates, for being sanguine, helpful and
munificient. You are always willing to help us and share things with
us. Without you, our school life will be like a sea with no water and be
humdrum.
We’re very grateful of all the things we’ve learned here. We’ve learned
to enjoy teamwork and listen to others’ opinions. That’s why I love working
with my classmates instead of working on my
own. They also taught us to tell right from wrong.
Now we’re going to leave primary school
and start secondary school. We’re fidgety
and anxious. I know, it can be nerve-racking.
Starting a new school life, nevertheless, can be
exhilarating, too. We may make more friends and
acquire more knowledge in the new school.
We’ll go to different schools soon and part
with one another but our friendship won’t change.
Lastly, I wish all of you good health and a brilliant
life with joy. Thank you.
