S3 Cross-curricular STEAM project – Chinese Lantern and
Light Box Design

The STEAM Education Team organised a Micro:bit Groove Inventor
Workshop, a Chinese Artwork session, and a 3D Printing Workshop for
all S3 students from 20 to 23 January 2026. These workshops prepared
students for the S3 cross-curricular STEAM project, where they will create
Lantern or Light Box designs. Students also participated in the Chinese
Lantern Making Workshop on 13 December 2025 at ATEC.

Promotion of STEAM Education through LWL periods,
post-examination activities and extra-curricular activities

S5 LWL Biotechnology Workshop by the
Hong Kong University SPACE
From 14 October to 13 November, 2025, S5 students explored a variety
of topics related to the structure of DNA, RNA, and proteins, the
central dogma, epigenetics, and characteristics of microorganisms.
They also learned about methods of transfecting DNA, cell culture, the
functioning of the immune system, and applications of immunology,
along with bioethics. This comprehensive curriculum provided
students with a deep understanding of key biological concepts and
their relevance in modern science.

S5 LWL Glider Making Workshop

This year, the Science Association
and the STEAM Education Team co-
organised the Glider Making Workshop
on 3 October 2025.
