Chinese and Acrylic Painting
A group of Y8 students spent five days at KA Atelier Studio in
Wanchai during Discovery Week to learn about Chinese and acrylic
painting techniques and histories.
On Day 1 the students learned about ink painting and various ways
to draw bamboo using ink. This contrasted with Day 2 where they
used Western paints and styles to draw bamboo. Days 3 and 4
involved students using these various techniques to paint plum
blossoms, an experience they really enjoyed. And finally in Day 5,
students were allowed to use all of the techniques they learned in
the first four days to paint glass bottles.
This was a wonderful and meaningful experience for all those
involved. Many thanks to KA Atelier Studio for arranging such a
memorable week.
