Hidden Hong Kong

Fifteen students, one teacher, and our guide
Dr. Martin Williams, enjoyed some of the
hidden treasures that Hong Kong offers us.
Dr. Williams taught us where to look and
what you can see if you know how to look.
On this trip we witnessed everything from
the dramatic wild dolphin sightings from a
boat off Lantau, the best and most beautiful
scenery in Hong Kong, and a very territorial
macaque monkey, but also some personal
triumphs like initially daunting looking hill
climbs, and learning to ride a bicycle. Also,
in an often loud and fast-paced world, we
learned to appreciate patience and stealth
as we watched migratory birds, mudskippers
and crabs feeding in the estuary at Mai Po.
