The Creative Collection of the Budding Writers

On the day of the talent show, we just realised
that we could not run the performance smoothly,
even though we were good at doing the tricks
ourselves. We did not know what we should perform
first, and we had no idea what we were going to do.
Yet we still had to go on stage, so I showed off my
basketball tricks when Sky and Boris were doing
their magic tricks in front of the audience. I was
under a lot of pressure, and I lost control of my ball.
Our performance was too short as well, not meeting the standard. After the show,
the judges gave us some comments. They said that we were pretty creative and
impressive but we did not have enough preparation obviously. They also reminded
us to be respectful to the show as they expected everyone to be well-prepared.
We all felt so embarrassed after that. We did not mean to be disrespectful to
the talent show but in fact, we were. Even though we failed in completing the show,
we gained an awesome experience. If we fail to prepare well, then we are preparing
to fail. We should really have more practice before the show. We have decided to
join the talent show next year because we want to do a better job next time and give
our greatest performance on the stage.
